Recording projects
Donn
Tarris solo projects: I play most instruments listed above, as well as
sing harmonies. I offer a unique service in that you can email your mp3
bed tracks and I can add instruments and voice using the best of
analogue tube and digital audio gear.
Alan Moberg: I have played acoustic lap steel on
Alan's latest CDs.
Jane Eamon: Acoustic lap steel on a few cuts from
her last CD. I am slated to play on her upcoming one as well.
Tess Fama: There is a version of "Haven't a Clue",
one of Tess' original compositions, on the Busby
Electronics web site, mixer page. I played electric lap steel on
this tune. It was recorded using the Busby tube preamp.
Tusket: "Glory Bound" CD. I played acoustic lap
steel on a few cuts on their album.
Live projects
As well as performing solo, I accompany the following artists
from time to time.
Check
out videos of some live performances.
A few
clips from a show accompanying Alan Moberg, as well as a couple from
the Tree House with Jane Eamon. This was the night I first met Jane and
coaxed my way on stage for her second set.
Duck
Creak: My main band these days, featuring myself, Ken Lunn, Bruce
Everett, and Valdy as the core. When we want to take it up a notch we
add Laurent Boucher on drums, as well as feature other guest artist.
All of us are songwriters, it's very magical as we click!
Donn Tarris, Gord Ross and Trish Faurot at Tree House Cafe, Salt Spring Island.
Synergy:
Gord Ross and Trish Faurot's band. I play lap steel, bass, and
hopefully will get a chance to play drums/percussion this year.
Tusket: I occasionally join Tusket for concert gigs playing
lap steel (through one of Simon Jarrett's Kingsley amps when lucky!:-)
I
have had the pleasure of accompanying most musicians on Salt Spring
Island over the past 8 years, including Tess Fama, Alan Moberg, Valdy,
Bill Henderson, Sharon Bailey, Jim Simis and others.
